InterActive History project. Ready, set, go!


On October 8, 2018 the grant contrant between the Managing Authority of the Karelia CBC Programme 2014-2020 and the Creative Industries and Cultural Tourism Development Fund was signed for the implementation of the InterActive History project.

This 2-year project (2018-2020) aims at creating and introducing new interactive museum services based on local cultural identity. The partner consortium includes the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Karelia, the National museum of the Republic of Karelia, Joensuu Museums, Outokumpu Mining Museum and Ilomantsi Museum foundation. The project activities are targeted at 6 participating museums in Petrozavodsk, Olonets, Kurkijoki, Olonets, Joensuu, Ilomantsi and Outokumpu. They will get new integrated museum services developed through research and based on interpretation of local cultural heritage, interactive principles and historical reconstruction.
